2012 Learn to Play Lacrosse
by posted 04/13/2012

2012 Learn to Play Lacrosse

Ages:  4,5 and 6
Dates:  Sundays, April 29th – June 24th, 2012
Time:  10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Location:  Nichols Middle School
              112 Tiger Drive
              Middleboro, MA
02346-2856

Format:  Skill building games and fun activities followed by 'pick-up' scrimmages
Contact:  Melissa Hopkins
Cost:  $55
Weather policy:  Best efforts will be made to reschedule cancelled sessions.
Required equipment:  Your child will need a lacrosse stick. While you can purchase a regulation stick (please don’t spend more than $30 full retail), you may consider getting a Junior stick not to be confused with a “fiddle, plastic play stick.” The one model we might recommend is a “STX Series C” that has a retail price of just $17.99 at Dick's Sporting Goods at the Silver City Galleria.

You’re invited to Learn to Play what is the fastest game on two feet and the fastest growing youth sport in America!  The cost is just $55 and includes insurance coverage and a team t-shirt.

The program introduces younger players to the great game of lacrosse through skill building fun activities. Players will learn the fundamentals of catching, throwing, cradling, and shooting in a highly interactive, family friendly environment. Each session will end with playing small side intersquad games.

Please make sure you bring plenty of energy, laughter, and smiles.
You’ll be using all of them.

Nichols Middle School is located at 112 Tiger Drive in Middleboro and is home to Lakers Youth Lacrosse. It will afford you and your child the chance to see older players which will give you both a better understanding of the next level of play after you complete the “Learn to Play” program.
